Community Partners

An integral part of the Colborne Street Clinic is the collaboration with local community partners working with families in the Orillia area. The agencies include:

Couchiching Jubilee House is a program dedicated to helping vulnerable women who face challenges including abuse, poverty, homelessness or risk of homelessness through supportive programming and transitional housing. Women may stay in one of the fully furnished apartments for up to one year.

Orillia Pregnancy Resource Centre

The Orillia Pregnancy Resource Centre is a faith-based organization that offers a tranquil environment for women facing pregnancy. We offer education, support and encouragment. Working collaboratively with communinty partners, effort is made to connect individuals to community resource services. Led by Irma Hall, E.D. and trained volunteers, the resource centre is supported by local churches, corporate and private donors, and fundraising events.

YMCA OF SIMCOE/MUSKOKA

YMCA Immigrant & Youth Services are programs dedicated to helping young people and new Canadians who face challenges and barriers. The YMCA provides community supports such as employment programming, outreach counselling, settlement services and language training.

ART OF YOU!

Art of YOU! is an art therapy private practice created by Ashley Nelson (BA, PgDip).   Art of YOU! provides humanistic support and therapeutic art experiences that, through creative and empowering means, aims to help clients build an inner resource of self trust, worth, and capability that can aid them while working through mild to moderate struggles.Explore the website below to learn more about Art of YOU!’s scope of practice, offered sessions, and FAQs (such as “What is Art Therapy?”).
