Couchiching Jubilee House is a program dedicated to helping vulnerable women who face challenges including abuse, poverty, homelessness or risk of homelessness through supportive programming and transitional housing. Women may stay in one of the fully furnished apartments for up to one year.
Pregnancy Resource Centre
The Orillia Pregnancy Resource Centre is a faith-based organization that offers a tranquil environment for women facing pregnancy. We offer education, support and encouragment. Working collaboratively with communinty partners, effort is made to connect individuals to community resource services. Led by Shirley Gillett, E.D. and trained volunteers, the resource centre is supported by local churches, corporate and private donors, and fundraising events.
Support Like is a program to help victims of domenstic violence, sexual assault, criminal harassment and stalking. We offer extensive safety planning including in the home, in the community , children's safety planning and ongoing support and referrals. We can also supply the victims with a cell phone which is pre-programmed to only dial 911 for additional safety. Support Link is funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General and the program is administered by North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services.
